Is my water heater leaking an emergency?

A leak from a fitting or connection is urgent but not necessarily an immediate emergency - turn off the cold water supply to the heater and call us. A leak from the tank body itself is an emergency - the tank needs to be replaced and water damage can worsen quickly.

What should I do right now while I wait for you?
