Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does a new water heater installation take?
- A straightforward swap installation typically takes 2–3 hours. Installations requiring venting modifications, new electrical circuits or gas line work may take 3–5 hours. We'll give you a time estimate upfront.
- Do you supply the water heater or do I buy my own?
- We supply the unit. We stock quality units from brands like Rheem and AO Smith and can source specific models on request. If you've already purchased a unit you'd like us to install, we can do that too.
- Do I need an expansion tank with my new water heater?
- If your home has a closed plumbing system (common with pressure-reducing valves or backflow preventers), building code typically requires an expansion tank. We check for this during installation and include one if needed.
- Is a permit required for water heater installation?
- Yes, in most local jurisdictions. We pull the permit on your behalf and schedule any required inspections.
- How soon can you install a new water heater?
- We offer same-day and next-day installation in most cases. Call us in the morning and we can often have your new unit running by that evening.
